Mama

Sweet lady, as you wake in the morning of the night, beside you, I will be, tiredness, shadowed by the warmth of your heart. As you rest again with the sun, my heart will hold yours, and with each tear that falls, my love will never come undone, the wind waits for the birds, as the night holds you, the way she does the moon, and when I dream of you, the sun lights the yellow flowers, where you run.

Sweet lady, the more you fall into the night, the more I fall in love, and with each rising sun, with each falling moon, I will be there watching over you. With love, I will shelter you from the winds, and as you wake in the morrow, I will be there to say good morning, and as you rest again, I will be there to say goodnight.

My sweet lady, when you feel a gentle breeze, see the wind, when you watch rain fall, see the ocean, and when a word is spoken, look closer and you will see a heart. And if your smiles fade to winter, wait patiently for the birds of summer, for whenever you feel lost, gently walk back, and the flowers will always be waiting.

Sweet Mama, from the many nights of love you gave, I now know I am enough, when you were tired, you warmed me with your smile, when I woke in fear, I felt like there was no other. I felt your heart in the darkest of nights, so when the moon falls with my tears, I know you will be with me, with love, you gave me life, and now I give you my forever love, as you are my heart and I am yours.
